Dear Sisters and Brothers,

The negotiations between our bargaining team and the company under the auspices of the federal mediator are continuing. The gag order imposed by the mediator remains in place. Therefore, we will not comment on the negotiations other than to echo the mediator’s statement from last week that we continue to make progress.

However, we wanted to let you know that we are truly inspired by the unity and strength you continue to demonstrate on the picket lines every day. Your expressions of support for each other and for the bargaining team mean the world to us and really have kept us going throughout this process.

Make no mistake. Our allies all over the country are watching this historic struggle unfold. They have been moved by your unity, your commitment, and your strength. They know that you are standing up not just for your own jobs, but for dignity, respect, and fairness for all working people.

Support from other unions and allies is strong and growing. You see it in big and small ways on the picket lines every day, like when our neighbors drop off coffee and donuts and when union brothers from Memphis travel all the way to northern New England in a blizzard to walk with us.

In addition, the IBEW, CWA, AFL-CIO, and allies such as Jobs With Justice are helping us raise money for the Solidarity Fund. If you or a fellow member are in need, please contact your union hall immediately to apply for help.

We will continue to work every day to reach a fair agreement. We appreciate your trust and your patience. We know that with you behind us, we will prevail ONE DAY LONGER! ONE DAY STRONGER!

In solidarity,
